We revisit "Flashpoint", the 1st single from the 6th Hybrid studio album "Black Halo".
Just before Hybrids sixth studio album 'Black Halo', Distinctive Records present the remix single of the opening track 'Flashpoint'
The original track, patiently develops, building in tension and atmosphere incorporating cinematic strings, driven guitar riffs, melodic synth arpeggios and thick choral vocals. The remixes utilise the plethora of rich tones and bass heavy elements, but take things into new realms...
Hybrid deliver a high octane remix, ready to destroy the dance floor. This acidic driven version, kicks into gear, seamlessly flexing between break beat and 4x4, layered with heavy percussion. As the cinematic strings lead the way through the breakdown at the 5 min mark, this creates a new path for the beastly bassline that morphs into new depths. As expected, Hybrid showcase immense detail and bold production skills on this interpretation of 'Flashpoint'
This single is well balanced with a remix from the Zimbabwean born, UK based producer Demure. The Studio Rockers and Dank N Dirty affiliated artists conjures up a creative interpretation of 'Flashpoint'. With a clear deep dubstep influence, Demure stripes things back, layering the detailed soundscapes with intricate percussion. The combination of high fidelic bass sounds underpinned with deep chugging subs drives this track forward. This remix incorporates the original guitar riff and chorus, with additional smooth piano keys. The remix sails off with an atmospheric outro also using the original processed speech sample.
