About this release
Boom Jinx is the snappy moniker of Norwegian based producer Øistein J. Eide. When Øistein is not busy producing epic micro masterpieces for film and TV he finds time to create some of the best produced dance music around. Whilst the Boom Jinx 4/4 output may be well known on Anjunabeats his original breaks sound now takes on the suffix of the BJX project. Øistein first came to our attention at Distinctive for his striking remix of Hybrids 'Finished Symphony'.
'Come On Over' is a track that we missed first time around, being previously released on Play Recordings. The original mix still sounds fresh today. Crunching beats, whomping basslines, stabbing strings and oscillators to the max. The original club mix and vocal version are included in this package.
UK based 'Plaza De Funk' provides the vinyl flip side with a storming electro-breaks spin. The vocal is stripped back and all things bass are set to electro. The Drum programming flirting with both 4/4 and breaks led floors.
